Working Hands, Empowered Women

The “Working Hands Welding Operator Project,” implemented in cooperation with BALOSB and KADEM, was successfully completed.

The “Working Hands Welding Operator Project,” carried out in cooperation between the Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone (BALOSB) Vocational and Technical Education Center and the Balıkesir Representation of the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM), was successfully completed with the aim of contributing to women's vocational development and employment in the industrial sector.

Within the project, which aimed to improve the vocational knowledge and skills of women from disadvantaged groups and train the qualified workforce needed by industry, participants gained professional competence in welding operations through theoretical and practical training.

Following the training held at the BALOSB Vocational and Technical Education Center, a graduation ceremony was organized for women trainees who successfully completed their vocational training. The determination, effort and vocational journey of the trainees were proudly celebrated, while the project aims to create new opportunities for women's participation in employment.

Thanks were extended to BALOSB Deputy Chairman of the Board Hüseyin Bekki, Regional Director Akın Ünal, KADEM Balıkesir Provincial Representative A. Gamze Çiftçi Aytekin and the MESTEM team for contributing to the realization of the project, while the greatest appreciation went to the women trainees who embarked on this journey saying, “I can do it too.”

Women's labor met industry; working hands reached toward a stronger future.

When women are empowered, industry grows stronger. When women produce, the future grows.
